local drive space used?

Former BitCasa user here, looking for a new home. Besides the amount of available space, the reason I used BitCasa was that the local BitCasa drive didn't take up a lot of space on my local hard drive. It only downloaded files when I accessed them and had a small local cache(you could control the cache size).

What I'd like to be able to do is have a folder that points to my hubiC files. For example, I have 30 gigs free on my hard drive. I have a 4 gig video file. I copy the 4 gig video file into my hubiC folder. After it is finished uploading and the cache is cleaned, I should still have 30 gigs free on my hard drive, not 26 gigs with the file taking up twice as much space.

It looks like you can sort of do that with Backup if you check the box to not delete files on hubiC when they are deleted locally, but is there a better way?
