HD smaller than 10Tb

Same problem here, inconsistent download speed and always bellow 10Mbit
What good are 10TB of online storage if it takes you weeks to download 2TB .... ?

Speedtest ovh.net

Download speed hubic client: ~ 150KB/s to 500KB/s => only 1.5MBit/s to 4MBit/s

Im am very sure it is not the network because my ISP is the University of Stuttgart (141.70.81.147). If I were to test http://ovh.net/files at night I would even get up to 60MB/s and more.

Some info about my hubic client and environment:
Code:
hubiC - Keep your files synchronized - version 2.0.2.48

Environment:
        OS: Unix 3.13.0.43

        Mono runtime: 3.2.8 (Debian 3.2.8+dfsg-4ubuntu1)

UPDATE: I create a post in the technical problem forum because I think it fits better there: https://forums.hubic.com/showthread....5741#post15741

You download speed is strange. What application you use?

Can you answer few question to try to understand your bad bandwith:
- How you measure bandwith (software)
- HubiC application you use
- Your ISP and your line offer (DSL, fiber, cable...)
- Results from http://sbg.proof.ovh.net/ and http://rbx.proof.ovh.net/
- Results from this command line

Stripped out my ISP's nodes because this is a public forum.

My main issue isn't the speed to HubiC, it's the consistency of the speed. One upload is going along at 20Mbit/s (My max), then the next at 3Mbit/s. It also seems to stay at that speed for the entire file upload, by which I mean, it's not a network issue, it's a per-file issue.

Hello and sorry if I break in here!

I am seeing similar results as Tom up there while currently evaluating HubiC for Backup/Sync usage.

Here is my test Results.

Hubic app and Chrome browser yield the same download speed of around 500KB/s
Upload speed is also flakey. Sometimes I get full 3MB/s transfering files sometimes speeds are as low as 70KB/s. This was last seen while doing a test transfer of a huge file just the other day.

ISP is Bahnhof who runs via the TeliaSonera backbone. Its a 30/30 Fiber optic Connection.

Hey,

- chrome download
- Web-App
- VDSL 50 Down 10 Up
- Last Result: Download Speed: 47068 kbps (5883.5 KB/sec transfer rate) > Upload Speed: 8558 kbps (1069.8 KB/sec transfer rate) > Latency: 75 ms > 19.11.2014 18:14:37
- not working

i add a 100 MB File and it loads with 600-700 KB/s. If i load the same file from google-drive i have somthing like 5,8 MB/s.

Hey,

"backups" are a very nice feature! but the only reason why i dont use hubic is the 10mbit upload/download limit. Is the limit still exist?

If not i will give hubic a second chance .

regards

tom

EDIT:

Looks so! I download a File with 700kb/s. Thats not good! Backup is nice but if i need 5 Days to download it ist useless....

Hi AlbinVlc,

Your issue is to synchronize all your hubic account is not possible because your HD is smaller than your hubic account.

For this kind of usage, we had a new feature few weeks ago: backups
Backups allow you to upload your files into hubic without synchronisation also, that's possible to store data from a lot of differents HD.

You can find more informations here: https://forums.hubic.com/showthread....iving-function

Vincent

Hello,

Let's think I pay for the 10Tb plan. As long as I can see, the documents I put in HubiC are also in my computer, they aren´t accessed indirectly but they "fisically" are in the HD (a local copy of the ones in the cloud). How can I have 10 Tb for all kind of personal backups if my HD is smaller?

Thanks
