+1 My friends and me ready to subscribe to 10 To if 2FA is enabled...

I notice that it's been two years that you were asked to activate 2FA and you have advanced at least?

2-factor authentication is a must nowadays, please add this function.

I double this.
Must-have feature!
Dropbox, Google, Microsoft, Yandex - all of their "home data cloud storage" solutions provides 2fa.

+1 not feeling safe at the moment to store data without a 2FA authentication.

At least I should get an email when new authentications are made on the account (the same emails we get with OVH manager)

+1 but only with apps password (something that google have)
Maybe it can be done in a way that apps will use pure openstack authorization ?

+1 would be a real secure feature with recent access list and recent connected tools

This feature should be "must have", username/passwords authentication is too easy to break with keyloggers, malware, brute force etc.

+1 for this.
Would really make a strong feature

Any idea when 2-factor authentication will be available? Without it, it's very easy for someone to steal all your data if they obtain your password - therefore making hubiC a very insecure backup method.

2FA as per Dropbox's implementation would be ideal with the ability to authorise a device/computer to have access to the account for a period of time.

Yes. But this is true of most 'cloud' solutions, namely Dropbox and Google Drive. Dropbox for instance had an issue in 2011 where any user could authenticate as any other user, and another exploit that allowed you to pull down any file's blocks you knew the hash of. You should always, always, do your own encryption on both ends, even if the provider claims to do it for you (See:- Crashplan and the like). If you're backing up, use something like duplicity, if you're syncing, use something like encfs.

Any news ?

Because I'd like to use hubiC as online stockage instead of Dropbox, but, without this 2-step verification, I'm not very sure of security issue :/

By the way, the 2-step verification could be a verification code sent by mail, as most mailboxes (at least iCloud / Microsoft / Gmail) can be protected by 2-step verification with authentificator app or SMS sent on our mobile. Our hubiC account would be, indirectly trough the 2-step verification of the mailbox, be protected with that feature, at a cost which should be greatly reduced.

I also am interested in the two step verification! Is there any plan for an implementation of the function in the near future? All other online backup services have this feature and do not see why it should not hubic..come on, let us happy!

Hi, I'm loving hubiC so far, but one big issue I have is the lack of 2 factor authentication. It's pretty easy to implement (well, I don't know the specifics of your setup of course, but generally speaking). It provides a massive amount of added security, which I know is a selling point for hubiC anyways. Please consider adding it in

Edit: Dropbox uses SMS based two factor authentication, but using something like Google Authenticator or Authy might keep the costs down
