For a hubiC Cloud Sync integration in the Synology DSM you can make some noise the their forum

Hi all,

same interest, and as suggested by Vincent I placed the request with Synology. I've got limited hope since Hubic cleary targets the french market and Synology could see it as very limited to invest on devs for a few users...
Who knows...we'll see where it goes

Cordialement
Jérôme Levy

maybe this helps - I ran

mono --trace /usr/local/lib/hubic/hubiC.exe main-loop

just checked application.log: it's empty and doesn't even update its timestamp when I run hubic

If an strace helps - that I can do. Just name your preferred set of options

Hi sms,

Thanks for this feedback we will try to reproduce on our side. Additionally, can you look in ~/.config/hubiC/application.log, you may have a detailed stack trace about what went wrong.

Hi Vincent,

I am using Mono from the Package Center (3rd party, beta channel)

mono --version
Mono JIT compiler version 2.11.1 ((no/426188e Wed Aug 29 11:04:59 CST 2012)

Misc:
LLVM: supported, not enabled.

running DSM 4.3 (latest) on an Intel atom based DS 412+ (don't want to go to DSM 5 yet due to numerous bug reports):

uname -a

Hi sms,

Could you send you mono version (mono --version) and kernel version (uname -a) ?

Since Synology DSM is basically Linux I gave it a try with the published Linux client:

downloaded hubiC-Linux-1.2.4.35.tar.gz
installed dev-tools via ipkg (to get make and install)
installed mono (required accourding to README)
confirmed to have dbus in the proper place

problem is - I can't get the hubic daemon to run:

# hubic main-loop
Command failed: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Mono.Unix.Native.Syscall.

no idea what that means - I didn't even know about mono before I opened the README...
"--debug" doesn't give any extra information

any ideas?

Well it would be a start if they had Swift support. But till now there is no swift compatible client afaik. I am currently writing a stand alone version of http://github.com/oderwat/hubic2swiftgate and plan to integrate Amazon S3 compatibility but this will last some time cause I can do this only in my free time.

Hi Moka,

We have a contact with Synology to add hubic support inside DSM 5.0 like our concurrents. We cannot develop this package because this integration is native on DSM 5.0 and there is no api available.

If you wish that Synology develop hubic integration, support our request by asking them for the addition of hubiC.

Regards,
Vincent
