thanks for reply outis,

as you said i've tried with bigger file(3gb)

root@host:/mnt/hubic/default# time cp /tmp/3gb ./
real 110m34.942s
user 0m0.057s
sys 0m1.654s

almost 2 hours for uploading 3gb file, its 0,42MByte/s so averge transfer was 3,36mbit/s

its still very slow, too slow for making any real backup ;(

EDIT:

i've mounted NFS storage from soyoustart and tried to upload the same file

root@host:/tmp/mnt1/# time cp /tmp/3gb ./
real 1m51.929s
user 0m0.000s
sys 0m1.496s

i know storage from soyoustart its much closer(so its faster) when i've my server there. but 2min vs. 2 hours make a difference

Doing any operation can be slow but once the operation starts, it's usually fairly fast. So you can backup large files or archives including many small files. But copying thousands of small files one by one could indeed take a very long time...
Hubicfuse is inefficient in other ways as well. But it works. There are other (probably more complicated) ways to mount your account but I don't think there is a way to solve the small files performance problem (not completely anyway) or turn a HubiC account into an ideal network storage device.

Hello,

i have mounted hubic storage using hubicfuse but its very, very slow. I cant think about backup anything to there because it will take years.

creating blank text file:
Code:
root@host:/mnt/hubic/default# time touch textfile
touch: setting times of ‘textfile’: Function not implemented
real 4m2.805s
user 0m0.000s
sys 0m0.001s
copying 326kb image:
Code:
root@host:/mnt/hubic/default# time cp /tmp/image.jpg ./
real 2m6.031s
user 0m0.000s
sys 0m0.001s
and it is my speedtest:
Code:
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 196.13 Mbit/s
Testing upload speed..................................................
Upload: 185.23 Mbit/s

Can you help me?
Maybe its other way to mount hubic to my server?
